Kimberly and I went to Babies R Us today for some receiving blankets and a mobile to have at Grandma & Grandpa's house.
The receiving blankets were an easy pick - Koala Baby. They're big and 100% cotton so they don't heat baby up as much as the thermalnuclear-looking polyester ones.
We got to the mobile section and personally, I was shocked they all ran around $40. ("For a mobile?"). We bit the bullet and bought the Fisher-Price Peek-a-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile and let me tell you: she LOVES it. Can't get enough. It plays classical music from Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart or sounds from the rainforest.
It was easy to put together, has easy-to-understand assembly instructions, and it has a remote.
